Dear Member,
We are planning on holding the Eastercon bid session via a Zoom webinar on Sunday 12th April at 14:45.
Invites will shortly be sent to all adult attending members (full attending and concession). This invite will be single use only. You will only be able to connect to the session from one device.
We ask that you please do not share the link. It is specific to you. If you share it and someone else uses it to log in before you do you will not be allowed to login. This means you will lose your chance to attend the session and vote on the bids.
Once in the webinar you will be able to ask questions in the Q&A and a moderator will pass them to the presenters. Once the presentations are finished you will be asked to vote via a poll that will pop up in the webinar. The bid with the majority of 'Ayes' will be acclaimed the next Eastercon.
We know this is a departure from the norm but we are living in strange times that require we think outside the box. Questions can be sent to bid@concentric2020.uk.
Technical questions? tech@concentric2020.uk
Thanks for your understanding!
John and Vanessa
on behalf of the Concentric 2020 Committee
NB:
We would like to remind our members that even though the bid session is taking place virtually, the Concentric Code of Conduct will still apply, and ask members to keep questions and comments in line with that code. Breaches of the code are likely to result in the member being removed from the session.
The committee reserves the right to ‘lock’ the webinar to prevent people from rejoining the session - such as those removed for a CoC violation
