We are pleased to be able to give you the information needed for booking your accommodation at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham for Eastercon 2020, Concentric.
We know this information has been on our website for a while, but we wanted to check some details around the deposit terms before sending out this email.
Since our last convention at this hotel, the Hilton Group have stopped accepting block bookings. Instead there is a booking link for convention members that offers a discount on the current room rates. Unfortunately, this means we can't offer a guaranteed room price. We recommend booking now to get the best prices, but we expect rates will fluctuate. The Hilton Metropole Hotel has a good number of rooms and we anticipate being able to accommodate everyone who wishes to stay onsite.
Our agreement is that the hotel will ask for a one night non refundable deposit. The room can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the event but they will keep the deposit. The room reservation can be changed or transferred. There is no requirement to join Hilton Honors however, the Hilton policy for several years has been free WiFi in the public areas and only HH members get free WiFi in their rooms. Our room rates also include breakfast.

Select your dates, number of people, number of rooms and type of room. There are default dates already entered for arrival and departure, please check and change if necessary.

If you need an accessible room please make your booking as normal and email access@concentric2020.uk with your reservation number and your requirements. We will allocate the access rooms based on this information.
For those who have booked through another way other than our link, we would really appreciate if you could send your reservation number and name attached to the booking. This allows your booking can be counted towards the conventions room allocation, lowering the cost of our function space so we can spend more on putting on a fantastic convention.
